Dear Science Fair Supporter,
Thank you for your interest in the Louisiana Region IV Science and Engineering Fair. The Science Fair Committee is offering you the opportunity to participate through sponsorship of the Fair, which will be held at Louisiana State University at Alexandria on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
The Region IV Science Fair is an organization dedicated to the promotion of science education and experimentation in both middle schools and high schools. It is affiliated with the Louisiana Science and Engineering Fair (LSU-Baton Rouge) as well as the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). We serve public, private and home schools in a 9 parish area: Rapides, Avoyelles, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Sabine, Vernon, Catahoula, and Concordia. Winners from the Regional Fair progress on to state and international competition.
We are currently enlisting sponsors for the fair. You may access the Region IV Science Fair website through the LSUA homepage at: www.lsua.edu. Click on “Region IV Science Fair” to access additional information, or go directly to the site at http://sciencefair.lsua.edu/ . Funds generated through sponsorships, registration fees, and T-shirt sales are used to purchase such items as mail-outs, fair supplies, judging materials, awards for students, and an expense-paid trip to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for the Overall Winner and his/her adult sponsor.

2. A Sponsorship Form to fill out and return to LSUA; this includes an Award Form if you or your company would like to present an Award or Special Recognition to a Science Project in a specific category.

We are expecting over 100 students, along with their teachers and parents, to be in attendance at the Science Fair this year. If you would like to be a sponsor or know someone who would please contact Sheryl Herring or Cathy Robinson.
